European Commission approved the financing of the construction of the second track and the reconstruction of the railway line Dugo Selo – Križevci

European Commission adopted a decision early in the year on the financing of major project construction and reconstruction of the second track of the railway line on the section Dugo Selo-Križevci, as part of the Operational Programme Transport from 2007 to 2013.

It is the first such decision since Croatian entry to the European Union since all projects over € 50 million must receive confirmation of the European Commission. The total approved project cost is 198 million euros, and share which will be co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund amounts to little more than 168 million euros.
